The Retreats

The retreats are an invitation to step into an oasis. Held in a sanctuary of quiet, peace, and beauty, we will deepen into the Way of Mary Magdalene, learning by her example and through cultivating a connection with her and with John the Evangelist. The 7-night retreats will be a journey through the appearances of Mary Magdalene, mostly from the Gospel of John, accompanied by sections of the Mary Magdalene Gospel. We will work with these transformative images along with an interweaving of meditative guidance out of Anthroposophy and Contemplative Christianity through the ages, bringing it all forward into practice for modern life. There will also be a further deepening of artistic work connected to movement and speech, and a sacred ceremony connected to this material at the close of each day.

While not in program, participants are encouraged to unwind in the vast, untouched sacred land of the private retreat center in New Mexico. There will be some guided walks as well as fires each night for small group or intimate conversation. Silence is also encouraged as much as possible.

The New Mexico property is an off-the-grid private retreat on a mountain wilderness above Sante Fe, on ground that has long been considered sacred. Bathrooms are shared within the small groups and some of the accommodations are in canvas tents. The retreats are fully catered with organic meals and snacks and all linens, towels, etc. are provided. One transfer in and out of the property from Sante Fe will come with the retreat cost, at specified times for each retreat.
